The Perfect Tutorial Contest
Submit your tutorial on how to use Perfect for server-side Swift development and you could win a prize
Since launching in November 2015, Perfect has been one of the fastest-growing projects on GitHub. More and more developers are trying out Perfect, and some have written tutorials to help others.
That got us thinking: Swift developers trying out Perfect need more tutorials to reference, and those creating the tutorials should be recognized and rewarded. Therefore, we’re pleased to introduce the Perfect Tutorial Contest.
Contest Overview
The winner of this contest is the person who writes the tutorial that wins the most votes on GitHub. The winner will receive a US$1,000 prepaid Visa card, a Perfect t-shirt, and global bragging rights. The contest is open to contestants worldwide from Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and closes on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 3 p.m. EST.
How to Enter
Submit your contest entry at here by/before May 6, 2016, at 3 p.m. EST. All entrants’ tutorials will be added to the Perfect website so others can access your work.
What Your Tutorial Submission Should Cover
Your tutorial can cover any topic that helps other developers use Perfect effectively and easily.
The focus of your tutorial can be on how to get started with Perfect, how to connect Perfect to a particular database, or any other issue for using Perfect that is useful to server-side Swift developers. The only requirement is that your tutorial must focus on using Perfect. Tutorials can be written or recorded (video or audio).
How a Winner Will Be Determined
- From the Perfect “issues page” on GitHub, open a new issue for your tutorial, and choose a name for the issue that makes it clear that you will be posting a tutorial.
- If people like your tutorial, they vote by reacting with a “thumbs up.” Improve your chances of winning by spreading the word about your tutorial to your friends who are registered on GitHub and encourage them to vote for your submission.
- The tutorial with the most votes by 3:00 p.m. EST on May 6, 2016, wins! In the unlikely event of a tie, there will be a 24-hour overtime to allow for more votes.
- Once the votes have been tallied, we will notify the winner by email.
